How is recycled nylon made?

The recycled Nylon we use is made from waste materials coming from our supplier’s main production cycle. These materials could not have been reused in any other way and would have otherwise been disposed of as external waste. The process is a mechanical regeneration system which does not involve the use of chemical materials, since that would detract from the sustainability of the end product. The recycling process involves cleaning, shredding and melting the collected material. After that they return to our supplier in the form of a polymer which is then further processed from fiber extraction to spinning the new, recycled yarns.
